Anthony Scarfuto receives Mill Service Recognition Award
Cooperstown, NY - The Fly Creek Cider Mill & Orchard awarded their 2007 Service Recognition Award to team member Anthony Scarfuto of Fly Creek Valley at the annual Team Recognition Banquet held at the Otesaga Hotel & Resort in Cooperstown. Some 65 team members and guests enjoyed a deliciously created dinner prepared by Chef David Lockwood and sponsored in-part by Maines Foodservice. They celebrated a successful 151st season and recognized one another with individual, often humorous, memories of the year.
The evening highlight was the award presentation to Scarfuto. This annual award recognizes a team member’s dedication to the Michaels family and fellow team members and making the Mill a fun place to work. Anthony Scarfuto received the award for his infectious support of the Mill and his eagerness to promote its value to the community. “Anthony has worked odd hours and helped us through the trauma of last year’s flood. His willingness to pitch in without hesitation is honored with this award,” said Bill Michaels, co-owner of the Mill. “Anthony answers requests with ‘sure, right away’ and is always dependable when you call on him,” says Jack Stanton, the Mill Facility and Production Leader.
