Cider Run - 10/5K Run and 5K Walk

April 27 - Register now and join the fun for a good cause!
10:00 Race Start

The seventh annual Cider Run, featuring a 10K run, 5K run, and 5K walk is set to take place on Saturday, April 27, at the Fly Creek Cider Mill. This year’s event will benefit the Susquehanna SPCA Animal Shelter in Cooperstown, NY. The Susquehanna SPCA Animal Shelter is non-profit organization that cares for homeless and abandoned animals in and around Otsego County, NY. The Cider Run includes a scenic 5k run and walking course as well as a challenging 10k course.  Additionally younger tykes may enter a short-distance fun before the main event.

Participation in either event will guarantee you a refreshing and delicious glass of hard (with valid I.D.) or sweet cider at the finish. Each course provides spectacular views of the mountains and valleys that surround the Fly Creek Cider Mill. The 10k presents an increased challenge and any runner will feel a sense of accomplishment when completing this course.

Participants are encouraged to register before April 1 to be guaranteed a commemorative pint glass (to be filled with hard or sweet cider). After April 1, the registration fee for adults will be raised from $25 to $30 and for children 12 and under from $15 to $20. Opportunities to sponsor The Cider Run are still available and range from $100-$1,000. Questions should be emailed to

“The Cider Run is a great kick-off to spring running and it is inspritational to see first time runners on the course.  The Community support from the Fire Department, Historical Society and Mill make this a wonderful community event which benefits an annual charity, plus runners love the scenic beauty and challenge of the 10K.”
